This ministry provides musical leadership, which is active and conscious participation of the assembly at weekend liturgies and special liturgical celebrations. 

Lectors proclaim the Word of God with reverence and dignity at Sunday Masses as well as solemnities, feasts days, and other liturgical celebrations. For information regarding Spanish speaking Lectors, contact Yolanda Martinez at 979-240-9312.

Objectives:

• To draw closer to God through the privilege of serving at Mass
• To acquire a deeper understanding of the ceremonies of the Mass and their meaning
• To cultivate a spirit of reverence, both for the server's own sake and for the edification of others

5 Levels of the Knights of the Altar:

1. Apprentice
2. Knight
3. Knight Commander
4. Senior Knight
5. Master Knight

These people assist in the preparation of Mass and assure the smoothest flow of the celebration.
