Baptism is the first of rites which begins our journey by incorporating us in the body of Christ, that is the church. Baptism preparation class is required prior to a baptism for both the sponsors and parents. For more information, call the church office at 979-548-2020 ext. 4.

Additional requirements and preparations will be explained at that time. No permanent arrangements should be made before talking to the priest.

Reconciliation

First Eucharist, First Communion and First Reconciliation

First Eucharist, First Communion and First Reconciliation

To obtain reconciliation with God and with the Church, we examine our conscience and confess to a priest all the unconfessed grave sins we remember. Reconciliation is before Saturday Mass from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, or by appointment. During the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, a parish celebration of reconciliation is held. For more information, call the church office at 979-548-2020, ext. 4.

HOW TO GO TO CONFESSION

"Confession is an act of honesty and courage; an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God"-St. John Paul II

Confession has five parts: Examination of your Conscience, Confession of your sins, an Act of Contrition prayer, the prayer of Absolution by the priest, and the immediate practice of your penance. In order to prepare for confession, below are some great resources to help you.
