hours of community and church service,
and fulfill additional requirements.
The sacrament of marriage is entered into for life. It is established by the consent of a man and a woman in the presence of the church minister. Please contact the church office a minimum of six months prior to any permanent arrangements.
Additional requirements and preparations will be explained at that time. No permanent arrangements should be made before talking to the priest.
This is a sacrament of healing for the seriously ill, not to be considered as only “last rites”. Please call the church office to make arrangements.
The two year program begins in the first grade and students attend Faith Formation classes. There are parent meetings, as well. More Faith Formation information can be found here.
To obtain reconciliation with God and with the Church, we examine our conscience and confess to a priest all the unconfessed grave sins we remember. Reconciliation is before Saturday Mass from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, or by appointment. During the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, a parish celebration of reconciliation is held. For more information, call the church office at 979-548-2020, ext. 4.
"Confession is an act of honesty and courage; an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God"-St. John Paul II
Confession has five parts: Examination of your Conscience, Confession of your sins, an Act of Contrition prayer, the prayer of Absolution by the priest, and the immediate practice of your penance. In order to prepare for confession, below are some great resources to help you.
